Editions
These are the editions I have released of my cinematic AI work. It is very rare (so far only one) for me to do an edition, but from time to time, when the moment is right, I will do so.
Grind
This is dedicated to all the artists who show up day in and day out, regardless of whether it's a good day or a bad one, and whether they feel like it or not. Despite the arduous nature of the journey, their commitment remains unwavering, guided by an internal compass that propels them forward. This embodies the essence of an artist's life, driven not by economic considerations or hype, but by an unadulterated desire to create. While it might appear to be a relentless grind for most, for them, it's as essential as breathing; to stop is to perish. As time marches on and technology evolves, the indomitable creative spirit endures. From the old masters to the emerging ones, we gather here to celebrate each of you, as you persist in your creative pursuits, despite the challenges of the grind, or perhaps, because of it.
Story behind the edition
As with many things AI, it doesn't always go as planned but in the end it is better for it. Initially I thought my first cinematic AI mint would be a 15-20 piece collection, then it was a 3-5 piece "prelude", but now it is an OE, all because one person connected with the piece in a truly authentic way.
That person was Baetus, who posted a comment about the piece that showed they truly resonated with it in a way that matched my hopes for what people would get out of it. Baetus suggested I release it as an OE, so that is what I'm doing.
By minting my first cinematic AI piece in this way, I want to show that what truly matters in the end is that another human being connects with your art. Also I want to show that for someone to be heard, you don't need a huge following and you don't need tons of ETH. All you need is an authentic connection.
And with this being all about the art, you are buying this piece because you connect with it and nothing more. There are no future promises of burns or rewards or utility. But I do hope it will benefit the holders through other means like the conversations it may start both inside and outside of our community.
One last thing, I want there to be a continuous stream of examples that show that you can mint and release art with integrity and still be successful from a sales point of view. With the right art work and the right communication, it can be done. I hope this piece is one of those examples, but that is not for me or any one person to decide. It is for the community to decide through their crypto-wallets and writing it into the blockchain.
